Duke Neurology APP Fellowship
The Duke Neurology Advanced Practice Provider Program is a one-year post-graduate fellowship for licensed nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PA). Graduates of an accredited NP or PA program are eligible. Fellows will be educated in general neurological principals and be capable of working in a general or subspecialty neurology practice upon completion. There will be experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Our graduates are highly marketable as the need for these specialty-trained practitioners is substantial. Geisinger Neuroscience Advanced Practitioner Residency
The Neuroscience Advanced Practitioner Residency at Geisinger develops the skill set of advanced practitioners to meet the needs of the growing patient population seeking access to quality neuroscience care. APs in the program will expand on the primary care foundation of knowledge acquired during NP and PA education through specialized educational and clinical training in neuroscience. The residency is designed to promote and foster: 1) the development and success of professional, knowledgeable and compassionate APPs who will excel in the care of patients with neurological and neurosurgical disorders, 2) understanding and integration of evidence-based practice, 3) the development of professional and collegial working relationships with members of the interprofessional healthcare team, 4) a commitment to lifelong learning and self-improvement, and 5) a culture of patient safety and excellence in quality of patient care. This 12-month program includes experiences in inpatient and outpatient settings, educational opportunities with our neurology and neurosurgical medical residents, didactics through a variety of departmental conferences and education by faculty trained in a wide variety of neuroscience specialties. IU Health Neuroscience Postgraduate Training Program
Our Postgraduate APP Training Program is a 12-month post-graduate track. The program includes hands-on learning through didactic teaching, clinical simulation, team learning and immersion into multiple clinical experiences at academic and community facilities. We will prepare you to be a well-rounded provider, leader, and resource on your healthcare team. Our program is designed around specific specialty practices to expand your critical thinking skills beyond the level you received in your formal education. The program is for NPs and PAs. Cohorts will start twice a year; one in the spring and one in the fall. Upon completion of the Postgraduate APP Training Program, you will be equipped with crucial experiences and will have established a network of providers. There are multiple post-graduate tracks. Miami Neuroscience Institute Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program
Miami’s Advance Practice Provider (APP) Neurology Fellowship is a 12-month postgraduate training program for NPs and PAs who are passionate about pursuing careers in neurology. The program is committed to excellence in neurological practice and uses innovative approaches to integrate didactic and clinical models of learning to build upon the standard APP curriculum to enhance the knowledge and skills to care for patients with neurological disorders. University of Colorado Neurology APP Fellowship
University of Colorado’s APP Neurology Fellowship Program in the Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine will provide 12 months of training to qualified graduates of an advanced practice program (i.e., NP, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), or PAs. Graduate of the APP Neurology Fellowships should be able to conduct a neurology history and examination, determine the appropriate diagnostic evaluation, and formulate managementd plan for patients with neurologic conditions within their scope of practice. University of Kentucky Physician Assistant Academic Residency Program: Neurology Track
This track in neurology is located at the University of Kentucky, Kentucky Neuroscience Institute in Lexington, Kentucky. Led by experienced clinicians in neurology, this residency track is designed to provide experience in general neurology as well as core sub-specialty areas, including dementia, headache, epilepsy, and stroke services. It provides residents the opportunity to train in managing chronic and acute patients. On-site faculty engage the residents through case-based learning, procedural competencies, and weekly grand rounds. By the end of the year, residents will be prepared to work as neurologist PAs at any hospital. Read more about our program here.

University of Virginia Neurosciences Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship
Although this program is an outpatient-focused track, APP Fellows will rotate briefly throughout key inpatient environments within UVA Medical Center, such as general neurology consult service, the Neurointensive Care Unit, inpatient stroke service, and others to enhance the global understanding of acute neurologic disorders. As part of the core clinical curriculum, fellows will spend the remainder of their time rotating with experts in outpatient neurology specialty clinics including general outpatient neurology, neuromuscular disorders, stroke, movement disorders, and more. Fellows are required to take a patient load under the guidance and supervision of designated preceptors, increasing their patient load and level of responsibility throughout the program as determined by their competency and overall clinical development. UW Health APP Fellowship
The UW Health Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship is an intensive 12-month program for licensed PAs and NPs to develop their competency in specialty care. Our faculty and providers are passionate about developing the next generation of APPs. The program consists of an integrated clinical and didactic approach to neurology. APP fellows work and learn in a team-based environment, with close mentoring and supervision from attending physicians and APPs.
